PathoShield®Coated Webbing
PathoShield® coated webbing is a urethane coated webbing that is ultra thin and flexible. It can adjust easily through most standard hardware. Now you can get the cost savings and labor savings of a coated web with the near ease of adjustment that uncoated webbing offers.

PathoShield® Welds
Masson can make assemblies for you using our proprietary welding process which yields a strong watertight weld with a smooth taper on the welded end.
A logo, phone number or slogan can be placed in the weld area to help identify your custom assembly.
One of the advantages of using thermoplastic coated webbing is to give the webbing the maximum amount of liquid resistance possible.
While the urethane coated webbing is highly water resistant, if the cut end is not sealed, the water can penetrate through the cut end. Completely sealed webbing is critical in the medical services fields. Having sealed web assemblies will reduce the contamination of the webbing by blood and other bodily fluids and reduce the decontamination time after use. The assembly can be spray wipe decontaminated and be ready to go back into service in a few minutes while uncoated webbing can take 30 minutes or more to decontaminate and then have to be dried for an extended time before it can be returned to service.
A real cost savings can be realized using PathoShield® coated assemblies by eliminating the need to purchase multiple assemblies so one or two sets can be decontaminated and dried while another needs to be reinstalled to be ready for the next use. With PathoShield® coated web assemblies; one set can remain installed and can be decontaminated and ready for service in a few minutes with out removing the strap assemblies.

Frequently asked questions:
Why coat webbing?
The primary reason is to add effective abrasion resistance to the webbing. Webbing is made up of hundreds of strands of material woven together. This is what gives it its strength and flexibility. However, if some of those strands get broken, whether by abrasion or by getting cut against a sharp edge, the strength is severely compromised.
The urethane coating over the web protects the web and preserves its strength for longer service life.
Is coated webbing easy to clean?
Polyurethane coated webbing is like the ultimate stain resistant webbing. Food, blood, grease and most common soils just wash right off with a damp cloth or cleaning agent.
Is coated web water repellant?
Yes, The cut ends of the webbing must be sealed to be completely water repellant
Can coated web be easily sanitized?
Yes, the urethane coating provides a stain and fluid repellent barrier so it can easily be sanitized with most sanitizing solutions.
